    • After last week's powerful testimony of Dr. Yuan and speaking on Holy Sexuality, this week's topic is appropriate. In Genesis 2, Adam was created and God new that it was not good for Adam to be alone, so He created woman, Eve, out of one of Adam's ribs. Now Adam had a helpmate. It is for this reason that a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife. And they become one flesh. 1 Corinthians 7 reminds us of God’s will for marriage “… each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. ...”. For responsibilities of the Christian in marriage, read the rest of 1 Corinthians 7.

    • Ephesians 2:11-22 provides the key to reconciling the differences within and between the various population groups of the world. That key is Jesus Christ. The differences between these groups is many times a barrier between them but Jesus had as His purpose to create in His body of believers “One Humanity”, all believers, regardless of Race has the same access to God and as a result, we are no longer strangers nor foreigners but FELLOW citizens of His family, built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets where Christ Jesus Himself is the cornerstone.

    • The Gospel in a Selfie generation
    • Aaron Thomson (Guest Speaker)
    • In this day and age, it appears that young people are self absorbed as shown by their obsession with “Selfies”, photos of oneself and we are in danger of losing the ability to communicate person to person, and this is a problem for Christians. In Matthew 9 we are told “Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age” (The Message). This is not something that can occur by social media alone.

    • Gender roles and the gospel
    • Ty Thomas
    • One of the most difficult topics within the Christian community is that of roles of men and women in Christian leadership. Right up there too are the roles of husband and wife within the family. In today’s passage, women are told to “submit to their husbands” and on face value, this does not sit well with many women. This passage needs more explanation because, taken out of context it can be damaging to husband and wife relationships. In these modern times, women are as well educated as the men and many are equally capable leaders. This being true, why do many Christian churches not allow women to occupy a leadership role? Ty expands more on this subject as he explains the biblical perspective.

    • The Kingdom of God
    • JT Zahradnik
    • Regardless of your political persuasion, one has to admit that the world is in a state of chaos. For us Christians however, we are told to rise above all of the earthly turmoil because nothing that is happening now ever catches our God off guard, He knows such events will continue to happen. In Matthew 24:6,7 we are told “ 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” (Emphasis added). We are earnestly encouraged to be steadfast in our faith and to continue to seek God’s kingdom, because for believers, this world is not our home

    • A question usually at the center of heated debate is “Are you Pro-Life or Pro-Abortion, euphemistically call pro-choice’. Whatever you call it, abortion is the intentional killing of a human fetus. (Robyn Chambers, Focus on the Family). Hear what the Bible says about abortion: We are made in God’s own image (Gen 1:27); about Jacob and Esau, while in Rebekah’s womb (Gen 25:22, 23) 22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the LORD.23 The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb,…“. One of the topics not normally talked about is the effect on the mother and father of the aborted child. Abortion is such a traumatic experience that it lingers long after the procedure.

    • When we are abused
    • Ty Thomas
    • Common forms of abuse are Physical , Psychological, Sexual, Neglect, Financial, Discriminatory, Organizational, Domestic and Human Trafficking (Modern Slavery). This week’s topic is particularly tough because talking about abuse it is very difficult for the victim. Particularly heinous are the Physical, Psychological and Sexual forms of abuse. Domestic abuse can cover all three, while bullying, an under reported form of abuse accounts for a great number of bullying related suicides each year. Many of us are aware that sexual abuse is most prevalent, but are you aware that 60% of sexual abuse victims under the age of never tell anyone. Sad. Listen as Ty tackles this very sensitive topic
