Tapestry Women’s Ministry is looking for volunteers who would:

  • Learn to tutor or act as a literacy coach
  • Provide childcare for a young moms’ Bible Study
  • Hostess a “Latte Da” welcome event
  • Write letters to military personnel
  • Provide daytime behind-the-scenes help
  • Find out what it takes to become a Bible Study teacher
  • Pray for others
  • Make phone calls for Tapestry events
  • Serve or host at a Tapestry event (Set up, prepare food, serve, greet, etc.)

Creating the best hour of a kid’s week.

Opportunities:

  • Nursery [infants through toddlers] – interact, cuddle, feed, rock to sleep – and yes, change diapers
  • 2-year olds and 3-year olds – prepare the ever-popular snacks (and clean up afterwards!), do simple crafts (ditto cleanup), read, teach, play
  • Preschool [includes 4-5 year-olds] – teach, play, read, lead small groups, serve snacks and just enjoy this fun age group
  • Elementary [kindergarten to 1st grade, 2nd to 3rd grade, 4th to 5th grade] – teach, play, lead small groups, supervise activites
  • Special Friends – play, interact, and provide loving assistance for children with disabilities (training provided)
  • Materials – lend your creative talents and energy to coordinate, reproduce & gather materials for classroom use
  • Creative Arts – providing creative energy for the children’s weekend services through puppets, sound, lights, media and worship

Group Leader
Be dedicated to lead other people by spending one night of the week leading a small group of people in fellowship, Bible study and prayer.

Group Host
Commit to having a small group meet in your home.  Another person would serve as the leader or you can do both!

Calvary’s Women’s Ministry is always looking for volunteers to help host or lead small groups, setup and teardown for special events and much more!

High School & Middle School

Thank you for considering how you can be a part of Student Ministries. Volunteering in Student Ministries can be an extremely rewarding experience. There is great joy in witnessing and participating in the spiritual journey of a student, as you play a vital role in shaping and sharpening the mind and heart in a way that honors God.

Opportunities in both Senior High and Middle School Ministry:

  • Ministry Teams: For both Senior High and Middle School Ministries.
  • Safety Team: The Safety Team will serve during Middle School Outbreak only.
  • Café Team: The Café Team will serve during Outbreak (Middle School) and Nexus (Senior High).
  • Missional Christian Team Coaches: The MCT Coaches will serve as guides and instructors to students (Senior High only) who wish to take part in the team.

Do you believe that first impressions can make a huge impact? That creating a welcoming, inviting – and safe – environment is a must? Great! So do we.

Opportunities:

  • Traffic – direct traffic flow and assist guests with parking
  • Guest Servants (Ushers / Greeters) – greet guests, provide programs & assist with seating
  • Information Center – assist with event registrations and provide information and connection points for people attending the weekly events on campus
  • Campus Guides – help guests find their way around campus

Communication Arts

If you love the thought of writing, proofing, adding value by creating graphics and web content then you are in the right place.

Opportunities:

  • Writing/Proofing – produce succinct, effective copy for articles, promotional pieces, Web pages, e-newsletters and other informational pieces. Check these for quality and accuracy
  • Graphic Design – create graphic elements for series promotional pieces, special events and Web projects
  • Web Development – create Flash animations, maintain multimedia Web content, ensure consistency and maintain interactive Web pages

Creative Arts

Do you ever see people on stage during the weekend service and think, “They must be professionals”? Granted, they perform at professional levels, but they’re volunteers…just like you.

Opportunities:

  • Vocal – solos & backup for worship, children’s programming and special events
  • Band – wide variety of musical styles during weekend services and special events
  • Drama – performance, directing, costuming, props, staging and scriptwriting
  • Creative Media – produce compelling media and computer animations, create custom music tracks for media content or provide special event photography and videography

IT Support

Opportunities:

  • Tech Support - desktop & small device support
  • Peripherals & Accessories - plug things in and hook stuff up

Technical Arts

Opportunities:

  • Equipment Operators and Assistants – run lighting, video & sound systems
  • Operate platform cameras and video switchers for services, conferences & workshops
  • Run audio/video systems for children’s and off-campus events
  • Technical Support – create PowerPoint text for worship and artist solos, assist in archiving digital data from weekend services, conduct online research for media content, prepare and duplicate DVD content for weekend services and workshops

    Care Team

    Reach out to others in a variety of ways – take meals to families who have lost loved ones or who have members experiencing illness and talk with people who have requested to speak with a Care Team member.
