Political pundits are claiming a “great divide” in America.  It even gets colorful with the blue states and the red states.  It’s probably true.  And the intensity will only increase throughout this election year.

Can you imagine an even greater chasm between two groups of people–people who won’t talk, greet each other, or eat together?  It was much worse between the Jews and the Gentiles in Jesus’ day.  Then His sacrifice blew the barrier to bits.  Peace and community were the results.  Amazing!  And we have that message.
