Dying for Life

The statements make no logical sense, especially together–”love life and you’ll lose it, hate life and you’ll keep it.”

It’s the week of the cross.  Jesus explains that his ultimate glorification will come in his death.  Come on, really?  Then he takes that concept and applies it to our lives as disciples.  With little explanation or softening!

This is not the first time Jesus makes these sweeping generalizations.  Perhaps he needs to hammer them home, cause we typically don’t get it.
