Humility. Setting aside your pride, your status, your personal achievements, your agenda, your desire to shine brightest for the sake of others, for the sake of God.

As we fill with knowledge of Jesus and an understanding of His Kingdom and will for our lives, we run the risk of allowing pride to overtake humility, causing us to travel further and further away from the reality of our lives: we are all sinners saved by grace.

The danger in this misguided journey is two-fold: we begin to forsake the need for grace, and we also start to distance ourselves from those who need grace the most. We need to recapture the spirit of humility, for the sake of others, for the sake of ministry and for the sake of God.
