Jesus was under fire. He was accused of breaking the Sabbath and of blasphemy. These were very serious charges, and warranted the death penalty. He was in big trouble.

To defend himself, Jesus turned to the big guns. He brought in the testimony of four major witnesses that would substantiate His claim to be equal with God.

His enemies thought they knew the Word of God, but they did not know the God of the Word! You can know the Bible and still not know the Savior. Since Jesus is at the center of God’s plan, then He needs to be at the center of our lives as well.
